Spud Harvest

Potatoes, potatoes, potatoes!!! Well, I really missed out this year! I wasn't able to drive truck for my dad this year--I didn't think it would be a good idea to leave 2 boys with my mom especially with one so little! But there is always next year! I love driving truck! It just gives me a thrill I don't get anywhere else! Must be in my blood! Well, the potatoes got all harvested in good time and Braden loved helping! He got to ride with Uncle Ray, who he LOVES, in the tractor a couple times! Oh, instead of driving truck for my dad, I've been doing a lot of book work for him at his office! I enjoy it! And Braden even comes and "helps"!!
Braden riding in the tractor with Ray while they load a truck!Lunch break! Cute kid!Farmer boys! Both in overalls--which Jason thought was dumb, but I thought was cute! I wanted to get a picture of them in the field but it was really windy that day so we got one in Grandma's car instead!!Braden didn't want to take a picture. Can you tell?

Time flies when your busy!!

How the time flies! It is almost November--Kyden is 6 months old already and is trying to crawl and Braden is talking a whole lot more! Sometimes I can't believe I have 2 little boys!! I guess not so little anymore! Well, our life has been pretty busy but not much to show for it. Me, Jason, and Kyden flew to Arizona the first of the month to go to a real estate investing school. It was so much fun! And no, we are not realtors, but investors. I loved the classes I got to take especially my legal strategies class! And you all probably think I'm crazy for loving that class (well, my dad thought I was) but I really did love it! Plus, Cassie, my friend, just moved to Arizona and we were only 20 minutes away from each other and we had a BLAST together! How often do moms get to just spend a day, not worrying about a thing?! Never! Well, I got to! We spent 3 hours at IKEA one day! My new favorite store--I would recommend it to anyone! It was just plain fun! The closest one to me is in Utah so...road trip anyone (when we get a house of course because I have no where to put anything right now). Oh ya, for anyone that doesn't know, we are doing the living with parents thing (Jason's parents) while we look for a house! I think everyone has to do that at least once! It really has been going great! Braden loves it!! Cassie and I also spent almost 3 hours in Burlington coat factory! We went crazy! We couldn't believe that we spent that long in one store, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! I didn't want to go home except for the fact that Braden was at home and I really missed him! Isn't it funny how much work children are, but when you are away from them you miss them like crazy?! Mom thing I guess! So, I have just rambled on about nonsense so I'll stop there! Here are a few pictures of the boys!

Braden, you little sneaky thing! He found a chocolate bar, unwrapped the whole thing, and came into my room with the biggest mischeivious face on I've ever seen! It was so cute though! I couldn't help but laugh (let him eat some of it right before dinner)!
Kyden in his stroller at the airport. He really was a good boy the whole time. I have been blessed with 2 really wonderful boys! Yes, we have our days, but we love them!!
Kyden eating peas for the first time and he really didn't like them! I have to confess, I have been a slacker the 2nd time around with solid food! It just seems like more of a hassle, but we are finally getting that solid food in and Kyden loves it (usually)!
1Braden asleep with Madi's birthday party invite in his hand! He was so excited for the party and it was fun! Thanks for the great party guys!
Sleepy boys! They both made it to our bed early one morning and when I got out of bed, this is how they were! Cute huh! And I have to mention that Braden is sleeping so much better at night! I love it! Kyden on the other hand is still a handfull!

Braden's 1st Pet

Grandma P (as Braden calls her) bought Braden a hermit crab at Spud Day. How fun! Braden loves it and will hopefully continue to like it!
Getting the crab into his new home.
The beginning of the parade...
Braden with fun Aunt BecAnd the rain begins...
Trying to stay dry!
It's a bummer that it had to rain on Spud Day! It has been beautiful all week long and it will probably be nice tomorrow but it rained and poured today! I think that Spud day is bound to be awful weather every year! Well, it cleared up at the end of the parade but then our day was cut short by the rain! Oh well, no biggy!

Splash Park Closed

So, we finally made it to the Splash Park in Rexburg--only a week late! We had ALL summer long to go and we never did, but when we finally found the time, it was closed! We didn't even think about it closing since it has been such beautiful weather lately! We were bummed, but the kids loved it anyway! We all crammed into one car and had a blast! Thanks for driving Cassie (and for having a big enough car to barely fit all of us!)

Sharing with his brother--even though he is totally not old enough for a popsicle! What a nice big brother you are Braden!! And Kyden loved it! He wants to eat everything now! Kyden loves his brother Braden. Kyden smiles at him every time he sees him! It is so much fun! They will be best buds someday (with a few fights I'm sure!)
Braden with Uncle Eric at his soccer game. He loves his Uncle Eric and he sure cheers loud for him.

Baby Brielle's Blessing

Baby Brie was blessed on Sunday. Isn't she a doll?! Check out Travis and Jessica's blog for pictures of just her! I'm sure they have plenty! I don't have any of just her because we were lucky to get these right before church. We found out Saturday night that my Dad was being put into the new Stake Presidency at 10 a.m. Stake Conference and we just couldn't miss that. The blessing was at 9 a.m. in Rigby so we cruised up there and left right after the blessing. We felt bad we didn't get to stay, but sometimes that's just how things happen. At least we got to see that sweet little thing in her cute blessing dress and hear her blessing! We are so excited for dad to be in the Stake Presidency (1st counselor)! He will do an awesome job and we know that is what he is supposed to be doing now! Who knows what will happen with mom though--she is the Stake Young Women's President of 1 year! Man, busy family! Oh yah, Braden was eating a cracker while we were taking pictures so they didn't turn out the best, but it's fun to have pictures of the 3 of them!

Wow! How the Summer Flies

So, I haven't blogged for a while so here's the catch up blog! We have been busy just as all of you have been and summer is over--the kids are back to school (not mine of course!)! It's kind of sad that summer is winding down. It went too fast, but doesn't it every year! I always think I will do so much and never get around to it. That's life for me though! I'm dreading winter, but I just don't think about that yet! So, here's a bunch of random pictures of what we've been up to!

Grandpa and Grandma's new Jeep that Braden LOVES! He feels soooo cool riding in it!
Braden made our bed! He pulled all the covers off and then spread this blanket out! He is so funny sometimes!
We went to Rexburg to visit the Pearson's and went to the Splash Park. It was a ton of fun! Braden and Madi play so good together. They decided to get in the water when no one was there and me and Ashley were freezing so they were ice by the time we made them get out. They loved it though and usually they are both a little hesitant to get into the water. The picture below this one is of what they wore home from the park. We didn't bring any extra clothes for them and Ashley had some shirts she was taking to the D.I. so they wore girl shirts! Styling--and Braden loved it!

Jason and I went to Arizona to a real estate college for a week. We were so lucky to be able to stay at my Grandpa and Grandma's townhouse there. They only live about 15 minutes from the college and they weren't there so it was great! Free stay and a place all to ourselves. We had a lot of fun! We left Braden with both grandparents and he did great! I was worried and even considered taking him with us, but I'm glad we left him. He was so good especially for being clingy to dad and mom for the last month! This picture is of Kyden at my grandparents place! We would go on walks at 7:30 a.m. because we couldn't go any later because it was so hot--like a blow dryer.
Kyden cheesin' it!Braden helping Kyden ride his bike! Can't wait till they can play together for real! Not looking forward to the fights though!

Playing dress up with Kyden! Jason hates it--what do you think? I think he's kind of cute!Braden got invited to my cousin, Taylor's, 4th birthday party! He had a blast! They went to Tauphus Park rides and then to the new park to eat McDonalds.
Happy 50th Gramps and Grams! Wow, can you imagine--50 years! My Grandparents are the BEST! They are great examples to me and I'm so glad I have them to look up to. I want to be just like them--or try to be anyway! We had a blast for the celebration. They didn't want a reception, just a day with all the family! Just some of the activities of the day included lunch, a slide show, singing by the grandchildren, how much do you know about gramps and grams, a dance, cruising in the corvet they rented for them to drive for the weekend, and so much fun! I loved it! Congrats to Gramps and Grams! We love you!

Braden and Grandma at the party! What a cute picture!
I just love this picture of the 2 of them! I just wish Kyden's hand was down! Oh well, can't be picky when Braden will actually smile!Kyden sleeping just like Braden! I think he looks just like Braden when he sleeps! He is so handsome--both my boys are , but I am there mom! !!Kyden loves his toes! He'll just sit and suck on them! Wish I was that flexible! Well, that wraps up our last month! Sorry, so many pictures, but I love them and thought it would be fun for the rest of you to see!! Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful summer! We had fun, despite how fast it flew by!!
